Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American stage and screen actress, best famous for her role in film as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television show The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis works as a writer as well as an actress in theater, film and TV. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in a number of television series and independent and mainstream films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. In the BET's amazing series The Book of Negroes she performed. Not only did she be praised by critics for her character, she also received a few awards and nominations. In 1995 she made her acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest as Ariel. Some stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Film career: She is best appreciated for films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her character on ABC's crime show High Incident.
