Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, writer, host of CNN's "New day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. Camerota was a journalist for over 30 years, covered news stories worldwide and across the country. The award she received was an Emmy Award in her early journalistic career, for her coverage of the detention for Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award for breaking the news of Hurricane Maria. As part of other trustee board changes, Johnna G. Torsone of Stamford is named an honorary trustee after serving as a trustee since 2007 and Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport is appointed chair following her service as board chair since 2013. Czekaj Farber replaces Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who has been the board's chairperson since October 2015. The board chair continues to serve on the board since 2006. The Playhouse's trustees' board has 26 members.
